Indian Head massage has been practiced for thousands of years, benefits clients both physically and psychologically. This treatment is a head, back, face and upper arm massage. There is no need to undress so this is encouraging for clients who are nervous or new to massage. There is no necessity to use oils even though they can be used if preferred.

Indian head massage is good for relieving stress, tension, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, migraines and sinus problems. This is a deeply calming and relaxing treatment, leaving you feeling energised, revitalised and more able to concentrate.

This treatment is also good if you suffer with neck problems. It helps increase joint mobility and flexibility in the neck and shoulders, it improves blood circulation and frees knots of muscular tension. Following a treatment some clients may experience, tiredness and dizziness (as the body eliminates toxins and waste materials) or aching muscles. All of these side-effects usually last for no more than a few hours.

Aftercare

For the rest of the day after this treatment drink plenty of water or herbal tea, avoiding caffeine or alcohol. For full benefits of this treatment, try to avoid shower/bath until the next day. Avoid heavy meals till the next day and try to relax.

As this treatment can have adverse effects, on certain conditions. All clients must complete a health consultation form prior to their first Indian head massage treatment. In some cases a GP referral may be required before treatment.
